A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own policy and supplies the results. We do not retain or log those terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics functions may record these technical details when a page loads:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Turner County Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to records held by the sheriff, courts, Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and Georgia Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search tools. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted to them. Review the applicable provider terms before running a query because this policy does not control the provider's conduct.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff, court, state-agency, legal-aid, or commercial-provider websites. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy controls. Read that policy before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may also use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. We do not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to these limited recipients:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance

How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet system can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified notice that a minor supplied data will lead to its deletion.

Rights vary by residence and applicable law. Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390 et seq., addresses unfair or deceptive consumer practices. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, applies to public agencies rather than this private site, and O.C.G.A. § 35-3-34 governs dissemination of Georgia criminal-history information.
